On 7 November, ImpactCity will bring together around 1,500 impact makers from all over the world in The Hague at ImpactFest. The event primarily attracts startups, scale-ups, investors, knowledge institutions, policymakers, and other passionate individuals working towards a sustainable, inclusive, and fair economy. In the Fokker Terminal, they will share their knowledge and build networks to tackle global challenges. Climate activist Faiza Oulahsen, who made headlines this month with her move from Greenpeace to KPMG, will deliver the keynote address.

Cross-border programme

In addition to themes like circular economy, food systems, energy transition, and climate justice, this year’s edition will also focus on ‘Impact Cities and Regions’. Impact entrepreneurship thrives in a strong and innovative ecosystem. Therefore, Impact Hub New York will join key players from other leading regions on stage to discuss the success factors for sustainable growth. Nigerian-British journalist, speaker, and filmmaker Ikenna Azuike will host the event and, as a sustainable change maker, will be actively involved in the discussions.

Connection and co-creation

The goal of ImpactFest is to foster as much exchange of ideas and solutions as possible. There fore, alongside the plenary programme, there will be over 60 small to medium-sized sessions where guest speakers and participants will work together. These so-called Meetups and Table Talks will be led by experts from organisations such as Rabobank, the Province of Zuid-Holland, DOEN Foundation, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

Funding for businesses

ImpactFest is also the place for impact entrepreneurs looking for funding. This year, numerous investors will be present, including RVO, DOEN, Borski Fund, FASE, and InnovationQuarter. New impact funds will also be announced, giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to engage with them directly.

Many entrepreneurs will also be celebrated, as the jury at ImpactFest will choose the winners of The Hague Innovators Challenge 2024. Rabobank and Pels Rijcken will also award cash prizes to impact entrepreneurs.

Latest trends and data in impact

In collaboration with Dealroom, ImpactCity will present the new report ‘State of Impact 2024’, which describes the latest trends and developments in impact entrepreneurship worldwide. From investments in impact startups to emerging themes, as well as a comparison of impact cities and regions across continents and over recent years.

The full programme is available at https://www.impactfest.nl/program-2024/ and will be updated with new speakers and sessions until early October.

About ImpactCity and ImpactFest

ImpactCity is one of Europe’s leading ecosystems for organisations that combine ‘doing good and doing business’. Through ImpactCity, the Municipality of The Hague supports entrepreneurs and other impact makers with innovative solutions to start and scale up their businesses.

ImpactFest began in 2016 as an annual event where the ImpactCity ecosystem could meet in a relaxed festival atmosphere. It has since grown into an international must-attend event in the impact world.

This year, the event is organised by ImpactCity in collaboration with the Municipality of The Hague, KplusV, Obsession, and Bureau Visueel. ImpactFest is made possible by the Province of Zuid-Holland, Rabobank, DOEN Foundation, Unknown Group, RVO, and Pels Rijcken.
