Immediate Release July 3

The UK’s most loved Mexican restaurant, Tortilla, today launches a fresh, flavour-packed summer menu upgrade – just in time for salad season.

As temperatures rise and customers start craving lighter, healthier options, Tortilla is answering the call with the launch of all-new Protein Pots and an upgraded salad offering that delivers on bold flavour without compromising on freshness or convenience.

Known for serving up real California burritos and tacos, Tortilla is now tapping into the growing demand for nutritious, high-protein meals that satisfy without weighing you down.

Whether you’re looking for a lighter lunch, a post-gym snack, or just a fresh take on your favourite dish, these new additions are designed to fuel your summer – fast.

The new Protein Pots are a game-changing side or standalone snack, available for just £5. Each pot features two scoops of clean protein with a choice of Chicken Asado, smoky Beef Barbacoa, juicy Pulled Pork, or hearty Vegan Chilli paired with two of Tortilla’s signature toppings and finished with a fresh lime wedge for a zesty kick.

With up to 62g of protein per pot, they’re the perfect grab-and-go option for busy, health-conscious foodies who don’t want to compromise on taste.

For those seeking a full, satisfying meal that’s lighter but still loaded with flavour, Tortilla’s core salad offering has been completely revamped.

The new salad base now features a crisp, vibrant blend of Cos, kale and spinach, paired with seasonal Tajín cucumber salsa, a fresh coriander & lime mayo dressing (vegan-friendly), and a new toasted seeds & grains topper for that perfect crunch. It’s a bold reimagining of Tortilla’s salad experience, tailored for summer eating habits and designed to feel just as indulgent as a burrito – without the carbs.

Director of Food, James Garland, said: “As we head into summer, I’m excited to introduce the next phase of our core menu revamp. This is the perfect opportunity to build on the foundations that make Tortilla the go-to for fresh, bold, flavour-driven food, starting with our Salad category refresh and the all-new Protein Pot side offering.

“These additions bring renewed energy to our teams and give customers even more reasons to choose Tortilla. With more food innovations in the pipeline, we’re doubling down on what we do best, delivering craveable, customisable, and fresh quality food that reflects our commitment to being a truly food-led business without compromise.”

Tortilla has also teamed up with Just Eat to launch an exclusive summer bundle, a fully-loaded salad, a bag of chips, and a refreshing drink, all for just £14.95. It’s a convenient, great-value combo perfect for al fresco dining or a lighter office lunch.

Every dish at Tortilla is made to order, with the team aiming to serve in under 90 seconds – that’s fast, fresh food done right. Their menu remains over 70% plant-based and is Vegan Friendly accredited. With all fillings and toppings prepared from scratch each day (often twice a day!), including hand-smashed guacamole made from ripe Hass avocados and chillies imported straight from Mexico, quality and flavour are always guaranteed.

Whether it’s a juicy burrito, a refreshing salad, tacos or a high-protein Protein Pot, Tortilla continues to offer fully customisable meals to suit all diets, cravings and lifestyles. Inspired by the taquerias of San Francisco, each Tortilla location delivers that same relaxed vibe with neon lights and feel-good tunes – perfect for casual meals with friends, family or colleagues.

Tortilla is proud to use 100% renewable electricity and source only the best ingredients, including grass-fed British Isle brisket for their barbacoa. With over 80 UK locations, 27 in France and 10 franchise sites in the Middle East, they remain Europe’s largest fast-casual Mexican brand and the UK’s most loved.
