Fieldgoods Closes Record £750k Funding Round

FieldGoods, the premium prepared meal brand founded by brothers Elliot and Sam Day, has closed its biggest round of investment fundraising to date, reaching its target of £750k. The brothers plan to use the funds to accelerate growth within the UK market with a focus on brand awareness, new product development and expanding the team.

On a mission to reinvent the ready meal, FieldGoods has seen two years of 100%+ revenue growth, with the business on target for a third record year in 2024.

Bringing convenience without compromise when it comes to mealtimes, FieldGoods has a roster of high-end stockists; the first ever ready meal to be stocked by Fortnum & Mason, the meals can be found in Whole Foods, Partridges London, Daylesford Organic and the award-winning Darts Farm, plus over 140 independent retailers.

With a ‘field to freezer to fork’ approach, sustainability is at the heart of the brand. Ingredients are sourced from some of the finest suppliers in the country including ChalkStream Trout, Swaledale Butchers and Wildfarmed flour; all packaging is either home compostable or recyclable; and FieldGoods HQ uses green energy from 100% renewable or carbon offset sources, including their own solar panels.

Elliot Day, Co-Founder at FieldGoods comments: “It’s been a wild ride and we’re incredibly proud of how the business has grown. This fundraise gives us the oomph to scale up production, develop new products and ramp up our marketing. Our aim is to disrupt the ready meal category and we’ve only just begun!”

Brother and Co-Founder Sam Day adds: “There’s a massive consumer appetite for convenience foods that deliver on taste, quality and sustainability. With our investment round complete, we are in a great position to scale up our grocery presence across the UK – watch this space.”

FieldGoods was founded by Elliot and Sam Day in 2021 after three years on the London dining scene. Having been forced to close during the pandemic, the brothers moved back to Devon where they rediscovered home cooking and, with a shared passion for sustainability, FieldGoods was founded out of their kitchen.

In 2024, their dishes were awarded another six Great Taste Awards – including two stars for the Sustainable Fish Pie – taking the brands total to twenty stars overall. Available from independent retailers across the UK, FieldGoods can be ordered online with next day delivery nationwide from www.fieldgoods.co.uk.
