Celebrate Young’s Day With Dinner on the Dray in Wandsworth

Saddle up this Young’s Day (Thursday 19th September) as renowned British pub group celebrates 193 years with a ‘Dinner on the Dray‘ experience at Wandsworth pub, the Alma.

Marking the big day, the iconic Young’s Dray horses, which were once used to deliver Young’s beer across London, will be back in the capital for a dining experience like no other, with guests invited to sign-up for the chance to enjoy a complimentary two-course lunch on the dray cart.

In celebration of Young’s rich heritage, the cart will be transformed into an intimate dining space, with tables for two and silver-service for an elevated pub lunch, featuring a menu which encompasses some of the best of Young’s dishes – past and present.

Stationed in the heart of Wandsworth, where Young’s story first began back in 1831, take a seat with two stunning shire horses as tablemates and enjoy dishes including Pigs cheek croquettes with cauliflower purée, Whole Market fish cooked on the Josper grill, and 35-day-aged Shropshire Cross rump steak, all paired with a glass of bubbles.

Available for one-day only on Thursday 19th September from 12pm-2pm with limited spacing, Young’s will be selecting a lucky few for a complimentary meal on the dray – to be in with a chance of dining, sign-up here*: www.youngs.co.uk/youngs-day

The good times don’t stop there as Young’s will be offering a complimentary pint** to all Young’s On Tap app users. Available from 16th – 22nd September to redeem at all pubs, head to the ‘Your Treats’ section to claim a crisp, cool pint of Young’s Original and raise a glass to 193 years – just make sure you have the app downloaded (there is also the choice of a glass of wine or Coca-Cola if beer isn’t your thing!).

What’s more, there will also be a range of celebrations across 240+ pubs in London and the South of England, including a charity drive to raise donations for children’s rugby charity, Wooden Spoon. Whilst in Greenwich, do keep an eye on the street as the dray horses will also be touring around the Thames – spot them at select pubs including the Old Brewery and the Cutty Sark.

Don’t miss out on the action and head to your nearest local. For more information on celebrations near you, visit www.youngs.co.uk/youngs-day.
