The Royal George officially reopened this Autumn following an extensive four-week refurbishment, giving the iconic pub an exciting new look.
The pub has been given a facelift while keeping its traditional look and feel inside. Changes include an extended kitchen, a revamped stage in the intimate basement, and an overall stylish and modern new look.
The Royal George is renowned for being one of Soho’s hidden gems, hosting events from Ukulele Wednesdays, to London’s friendliest comedy night as well as weekly open mics. Named after an 18th Century ship of the line, The Royal George has some history to it.
Whilst here guests can tuck into all the pub classics; fish and chips, loaded prime steak burgers and chicken strips as well as a range of delicious salads, Buddha Bowls and sharing plates, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Along with the new food menu, guests will also be greeted with an extensive drinks menu, boasting a wide selection of rotating craft beers, ciders and cocktails.
Speaking about the refurbishment, General Manager Leo Spanswick at The Royal George said: “This refurb is a new chapter for The Royal George, and will help us to keep delighting our guests with stunning food and drink, as well as allowing us to expand on our great range of weekly events. The pub looks incredible – you need to come and see it for yourselves!”
Following the extensive refurbishment and significant investment made at the pub, 2 new jobs have also been created for the local area, with the team now ready to pour pints and serve delicious food to guests.
