Pow Food encourages people to make a difference and support charity this Green Friday

This Black Friday, Pow Food is inviting people to join their Green Friday movement – a sustainable and mindful alternative to the traditional shopping frenzy.

From November 27th to 29th, Pow Food’s Green Friday campaign will support both the planet and the community, proving that conscious consumerism can make a real difference.

As part of the campaign, Pow Food will donate 10% of all sales to the Marylebone Project, the UK’s largest and longest running women-only homelessness centre, which provides life-changing support for women escaping homelessness and crisis – with over 90 years of experience, 112 residential beds across two buildings, and the only women’s-only homelessness centre that’s open 24/7, 365 days a year.
To thank customers for shopping sustainably, Pow Food is offering free delivery and a complimentary box of their famous Pow Food Brownies with every order.

Fern Bain Smith from the Marylebone Project team said: “This Green Friday, we’re thrilled to partner with Pow Food again, the need for our services has never been greater; rough sleeping is now the main concern for 53% more women seeking help at our 24/7 drop-in service, the Sanctuary, compared to this time last year. Your generosity is not just appreciated – it’s vital. Thank you for helping us provide safety and hope to those who need it most.”
While Black Friday is known for its steep discounts, it also comes with significant environmental and social costs. In 2021, Black Friday shopping generated over 380,000 tons of CO₂ emissions. Over 80% of purchased items end up in landfills shortly after use, with cheap electronics contributing to a growing e-waste crisis.
Pow Food’s Green Friday campaign offers an alternative, encouraging consumers to shop sustainably and support local businesses.

Co founder of Pow Food, Emily Warburton Adams said: “We are thrilled to engage with Green Friday and see it as a fabulous opportunity to further support The Marylebone Project while enabling our customers to make positive purchases that give back and make a real difference.”
Founded in 2019 by Ali Warburton and Emily Warburton-Adams, Pow Food leads London’s healthy catering scene with a mission to nourish the body and mind. As the only B Corp Certified female catering company in the UK, Pow Food is committed to meeting the highest standards of sustainability, accountability, and transparency.
Their Pow Food at Home range, launched in 2022, brings award-winning, chef-prepared, and nutritionally designed meals to discerning diners nationwide. By choosing Pow Food this Green Friday, customers can enjoy nutritious meals while supporting women in need and reducing their environmental footprint.
This Green Friday, people are being urged to shop with purpose and order at Pow Food At Home between November 27th and 29th to enjoy free delivery, a complimentary box of Pow Brownies and the satisfaction of supporting the Marylebone Project.
