Body Fit Training continues capital takeover with launch of third London studio

Body Fit Training (BFT) – Australia’s fastest-growing franchise – is celebrating the upcoming launch of its newest studio – BFT Croydon. Located opposite BOXPARK Croydon, and a two-minute walk from East Croydon Station, BFT’s third London studio is set to open on 19th October.

For franchisee Chris Pook, the opening of the BFT Croydon marks a significant milestone in his franchising career. “I’d run my own food catering franchise for over a decade but began to feel myself wanting a new challenge – something that truly spoke to my passions.

“I’ve always had a love for fitness so the idea of blending that with a deep appreciation for franchising sparked a sense of excitement in me – leading me to BFT.”

BFT immediately struck a chord with Chris, especially the brand’s tagline Different. Better. “I wasn’t looking for just another gym focused on volume over value. My goal was to create a space where community and connection are at the forefront – a place that feels like a home away from home for all our members.”

Married with three young boys and one daughter, Chris’s vision for BFT Croydon is not just about building a profitable enterprise but creating a community cornerstone that encourages fitness and wellbeing – while offering the perfect work-life balance for his family-centred lifestyle. “Choosing to locate my first studio in the Croydon area wasn’t just a business decision… it was a personal one. That’s where I was born and I’m looking forward to the positive impact we can have in the community.

“Further down the line, I have plans to open multiple BFT studios. I’m not setting myself any limits at the moment; Croydon is the beginning and we’ll build from there.”

In anticipation of BFT Croydon’s grand opening on 19th October, Chris plans to host several open evenings to introduce the local community to the new studio. BFT Croydon will be BFT’s third studio in London, joining their successful counterparts in Battersea and Hackney. As part of the global fitness franchise’s expansion, BFT is also preparing to open three more London studios, with agreements signed for Islington, Greenwich and Peckham.

Cameron Falloon, founder of BFT, expressed his excitement about this latest studio addition: “Opening BFT Croydon is a proud moment not only for me but for the entire BFT family. Each new studio represents more than just a fitness space – it’s a community hub where people can come together to achieve their goals and support each other in leading healthier lives.

“As we continue to expand, we remain focused on cultivating a network of passionate entrepreneurs who share our vision of providing industry-leading fitness experiences. These entrepreneurs, like Chris, are dedicated to making a real and lasting impact in the community they serve. I’m excited to see what the future holds!”
