A Taste of What’s to Come: Introducing The Harper’s New Culinary Stars

Two culinary superstars have joined The Harper, Norfolk’s most luxurious boutique hotel, this Autumn. Jack Gosling has been appointed as Executive Chef, at the helm of the hotel’s restaurant, Stanleys and experienced sommelier Rui Pereira has bolstered the hotel’s offering, joining the team as Food & Beverage Manager, overseeing all aspects of the guest culinary experience.

Jack’s culinary journey has taken him all over the world from his Norfolk roots to Australia, Asia and Central America then on to Amsterdam Netherlands where he spent 6 years working at 2 Michelin starred restaurant spectrum in the Waldorf Astoria hotel.

Blending global inspiration and techniques with local farms, fishermen and foragers, Jack brings a bold but thoughtful approach to his cooking. His menus champion Norfolk’s exceptional seasonal produce, shaped by time in one of Europe’s most acclaimed kitchens and a deep-rooted love for East Anglia.

Beyond the plate, Jack is committed to nurturing the next generation of chefs, and building a collaborative, close-knit team where creativity and excellence go hand in hand. Under his leadership, guests can expect evolving menus of beautifully balanced, ingredient-led dishes – flavourful, and full of character.

Stepping into the role of Food & Beverage Manager, Rui Pereira is set to join The Harper team this September. Rui brings with him a wealth of experience from various high end, Michelin Star establishments, member’s clubs, luxury hotels and restaurants across the city of London. Now relocating to Norfolk to join The Harper, Rui, an experienced Head Sommelier brings a real passion for building strong teams and developing in house talent, improving guest experience and creating exceptional wine lists. For Rui, great service is about ensuring the complete experience feels thoughtful and memorable, which is the basis of his refined vision for The Harper’s renewed F&B offering.

Rui previously held the position of Head Sommelier at City Social, and has also held senior positions at Il Gattopardo, The Bloomsbury Hotel and exclusive members clubs like The Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall.
