Australian healthy nutrition business Forbidden Foods is set to acquire domestic alternative milk producer Oat Milk Goodness (OMG). Forbidden Foods will acquire the oat-milk business for A$3.5m (US$2.3m) as it “plans to leverage its established Australian distribution footprint and relationships with major retail groups”, according to a statement. Roquette has expanded its range of texturising solutions by adding four new tapioca-based cook-up starches. The range includes Clearam TR 2010, Clearam TR 2510, Clearam TR 3010, and Clearam TR 4010. Roquette stated that its tapioca starches were developed to meet the texture requirements of food manufacturers and to complement existing botanical sources within the broader range. This equity-based funding will support international expansion, software development, platform automation, and the growth of its unique PreCycled concept for the second-hand market of bikes. Duedahl will join the meat processor on 2 September. Danish Crown has appointed an external candidate, Niels Duedahl, as the new CEO of the meat cooperative. Duedahl will assume the role from 2 September, succeeding Jais Valeur, who announced in June that he would be stepping down as chief executive earlier than initially planned.
