Methodology

The ranking was created by buycycle, the leading marketplace for high-value, pre-owned bikes, by analyzing winter weather data from each destination (December – February). The final ranking was calculated by analyzing the average number of sun hours, temperature, and rainfall. These data points were then combined to reveal which destinations scored the highest for best weather conditions for cycling in the winter months. Destinations that were deemed too warm for ideal cycling conditions (above 25 degrees) and those without data were excluded from the ranking. For those whose score resulted in a tie, the average temperature was prioritized. Weather data was pulled from World Weather Online.
