Residents were left shocked after a car crashed into a house when a delivery driver failed to apply the handbrake properly. The dramatic incident caused significant damage to the property, raising concerns over safety practices among delivery drivers.

According to National Daily Press, the accident occurred when the driver parked on a slight incline but forgot to secure the vehicle. Moments later, the car began rolling uncontrollably, eventually smashing into the front of a residential home. Fortunately, no one inside the house was injured, but the crash left behind a scene of destruction.

Residents Express Shock and Frustration

Neighbours rushed to the scene upon hearing the loud impact, with many expressing disbelief at how easily such an accident could have been prevented. The homeowner, who had been inside at the time, described the experience as terrifying.

“I heard this massive crash and thought something had exploded. When I ran outside, I saw a car wedged into my house—it was unbelievable,” the resident said.

As reported by Coleman News, local authorities are investigating the incident, and questions are being raised about the need for stricter safety protocols for delivery drivers. With the rise of online shopping and food deliveries, incidents like this highlight the importance of proper vehicle handling to prevent dangerous accidents.

Calls for Improved Driver Training

Following the crash, discussions have emerged about whether companies should implement better training for delivery drivers, ensuring they follow strict safety measures when parking on uneven surfaces.
