Love to Rent partners with hereSAY to introduce impartial ‘Lead to Lease’ reviews and Gold Standard

Love to Rent, the UK’s leading platform exclusively dedicated to quality rented homes is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with hereSAY, part of SAY Property Consultants. Through this collaboration, Love to Rent will now feature hereSAY’s pioneering ‘Lead to Lease’ reviews providing prospective renters with an unbiased view of the customer experience and scheme at the viewing stage.

The reviews are carried out by professional mystery shoppers who experience the rental process first-hand, carrying out viewings and providing feedback on everything from staff friendliness and knowledge to scheme presentation. This means they offer a perspective free from the influence of having already committed to the home, or from the frustrations that can come with long-term renting. All mystery shoppers fit the target market and can genuinely afford to live in the scheme. The result is honest, data-driven insight into what it could be like to rent in a particular development, helping customers make more confident, informed decisions.

Anne-Marie Brown, Founder of Love to Rent, said:

“We’re delighted to be working with hereSAY to introduce these unique, independent reviews to our platform. For customers, it means greater confidence and clarity when choosing their next home. They can now access real, unbiased insights into the rental journey before they commit. For our clients, it’s a powerful way to showcase their commitment to exceptional service and stand out in a competitive market. It’s not just about listing properties it’s about building trust, raising standards, and helping customers feel truly informed and supported from the very start.”

Each scheme is visited at least three times, with every stage of the customer journey from initial enquiry to post-viewing follow-up assessed through a detailed and impartial questionnaire. Key focus areas include communication, property presentation, team professionalism, and the ability to convey the unique lifestyle benefits of quality rental living.

Only developments scoring 77% or higher are awarded the prestigious hereSAY Gold Standard and can promote their reviews on the Love to Rent website. Reviews are updated quarterly to ensure an ongoing commitment to excellence.

Esme Webb, Director of hereSAY and Research, commented:

“We’re excited to partner with Love to Rent to bring our ‘Lead to Lease’ reviews to a wider audience. Over the past four years, hereSAY has conducted thousands of mystery shopper viewings across the UK, providing data-driven insights to help clients improve the rental experience. This collaboration allows us to share that insight directly with renters, empowering them with greater transparency and supporting operators, developers and investors who are genuinely committed to delivering exceptional customer service. Together, we’re raising the bar for the rental sector by equipping both renters and those within the rental living sector with the tools they need to make smarter, more informed decisions.”
